Sailing on his ship, our protagonist is hit by inclement weather, and in the middle of a huge storm is attacked by a gigantic marine creature, and wakes up on a beach.

When our protagonist awakes he is surrounded by bodies, but also a beautiful woman called Sara, who is as confused as we are, but who is the focus of the first mission. You should know that in Risen your decisions affect the future of your character, so think well before doing anything.
Learn new combat methods, complete secondary missions or just follow your path, all is possible in Risen. Man to man, or via casting fire spells prepare to enter a fantastic world of combat.
Although the graphics and sound leave a lot to be desired, Risen is a medieval adventure you can`t miss out on, and even more if you are an RPG fan.
